MediNotes 'e' Rolls Out With a Free Upgrade
MediNotes Corporation, the leading provider of electronic medical record
software, announced today that it has released a completely redesigned
and innovative upgrade to the popular Charting Plus program used by over
3,400 medical practices in the United States and Canada .
Because of the extensive changes to the program and to reinforce the
MediNotes brand, management at the company has renamed the product –
MediNotes e. “The “e” stands for everything that is important to our
clients: efficiency, ease of use, empowerment and enhanced care,”
remarked Donald Schoen, CEO and President of MediNotes. “This program is
such a marked change from Charting Plus that it was necessary to sunset
the name, and begin a brand new campaign focused on our future as a
company. MediNotes e gives us an incredibly powerful platform to build
on for the next 5 years and beyond.”
The upgrade includes a major reworking of the original Charting Plus
structure, and includes many new features. MediNotes e is now a
multi-tasking shell with the ability to launch multiple components as
tabbed screens within the shell. The shell can display the practice
view, patient view for several patients, an active note window and the
document view simultaneously. Providers can quickly toggle between
patients or tasks without the need to navigate to a completely separate
area of the program, saving them valuable time and allowing
unprecedented access to clinical information.
Developed and produced in the Midwestern United States, MediNotes e
includes a patient-tracking feature, which allows the front office staff
to monitor patients that have been checked in, how long they have waited
and which room they have been assigned. Workflow is further enhanced in
the new version by the addition of a series of completely customizable ‘worklists’.
Worklist processes can be created by the practice for situations when a
series of ordered events involving multiple clinicians is necessary.
ePrescribing is now a reality with the MediNotes Rx module for MediNotes
e. Based on the award winning Rcopia System from DrFirst, MediNotes Rx
is a fully integrated ePrescribing tool built right into the
prescription dialogs used in MediNotes e. MediNotes Rx includes drug to
drug and drug to allergy interactions, formulary checking and full
ePrescribing capabilities through the SureScripts and RxHub.
