Lytec Requirements

Workstation System Requirements

  • Equivalent to Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or higher
  • 10 GB of available hard disk space, DVD-ROM drive
  • 2 GB of RAM for 32-bit OS; 4 GB of RAM for 64-bit OS
  • Windows XP Professional SP3 (32-bit only), Windows Vista Business SP1 (32- or 64-bit), or Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate (32- or 64-bit)
  • Home Editions are not supported. If you have a Home or Home Premium OS, consider using the 'Windows Anytime Upgrade' service which allows you to upgrade by downloading a file. Click here for more details.

Server System Requirements

  • Equivalent to Xeon Dual Core 2.4 GHz or higher
  • 50 GB of available hard disk space, DVD-ROM drive; RAID hard disk configuration, tested backup system, and UPS are strongly recommended
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • Windows Vista Business SP1 (64-bit only) or Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate (64-bit only) for 1 to 5 workstations;
  • Windows 2003/2003 R2 Server (32-bit only) or Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 (64-bit) for 5 or more workstations

Lytec MD EMR Requirements

Workstation System Requirements

  • Equivalent to Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or higher

  • 2 GB of RAM for 32-bit OS; 4 GB of RAM for 64-bit OS

Server System Requirements

  • Equivalent to Xeon Quad Core 2.4 GHz or higher
  • 32 GB of available hard disk space on the system drive, 500 GB on the data drive, DVD-ROM drive; RAID hard disk configuration, tested backup system, and UPS are required
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 (64-bit); Small Business Server is not supported

Other Requirements

  • Data and OS partitions must be separate; data partition must be a logical drive designated as P:
  • Thin client technology (2X/Citrix) is required for wireless
  • TWAIN-compatible scanner required
  • Domain/Active Directory infrastructure required
  • Antivirus must be installed

Printer Recomendation:

HP LaserJet 1300 or higher, Microwize will not support any other printer

Additional Notes:

  • If you decide to run additional services (DNS, Active Directory, Terminal Services, iTunes, Etc.) you will need to add additional CPUs or RAM
  • Storage requirements can only be used as a guideline. Please contact your Technology Consultant for a personalized storage recommendation
  • Hardware-level fireware is recommended
  • Dragon Medical must be installed locally. Some integration is not available via thin client
